The Disasters Emergency Committee (of which Oxfam is a member) has launched an urgent appeal to fund aid work in the areas of Myanmar which were devastated by Cyclone Nargis in the early hours of Saturday 3rd May.

Upwards of 22,000 people have been lost in the tragedy, and over a million are now in desperate need of shelter, clean water, food and medical care.

Binary Ink is a carbon balanced website and graphic design studio that donates a portion of it’s profits (we’re aiming for an average of 20% this year) to one of three major charities.

The charities we have chosen to support are Oxfam, the World Land Trust and the Woodland Trust; our clients even get to choose which of the three they would like their project to support.

Green IT entrepreneur, and all-round good egg, Kate Craig-Wood is featured in the Sunday Times today (30th March).

As founder and MD of Memset, the first Carbon Neutral hosting company, Kate is a pioneer in the field of “green technology” and works behind the scenes to encourage girls and women into IT.
